- The event started at 08:00 AM with the registrations for the memory screening camp.
- The memory screening was done by the team of psychologists from ARDSI Hyderabad which was conducted from 8:30 to 11:00 am.
- The awareness session commenced at 11:00 am where all the participants and the organizers gathered at Dhanwantri hall.
- The session started with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, speakers of the day.
- The program was facilitated by Colonel Anil and the session followed by the narration of the program schedule, with an introduction of the speakers for the day and the topics they'd be speaking about.
- The chief guest Major Genreal N Srinivas Rao, GOC, TASA gave an inaugural speech in which he spoke about the lack of awareness of dementia and expressed thankfulness to the team of ARDSI for taking up the initiative.
- Dr K. Chandrasekhar, MD Asha Hospital, vice president ARDSI Hyderabad, gave a brief overview on Dementia.
- Dr. SubhashKaul, consultant Neurologist KIMS Hospital He spoke about the various types of Dementia, how they affect the brain and the individual.
- This was followed by MsBala Tripura Sundari , Trustee, ARDSI Hyderabad, who introduced about the work done and services provided by ARDSI Hyderabad. she also shared her experience as a caregiver.
- A brief question-answer session followed where many participants asked questions about Dementia, care-giving and prevention of Dementia.
- It was concluded by Mr. Govindu who proposed the vote of thanks.
- The awareness session ended around 12:30 followed by a tea break.
- The memory screen camp resumed from 1:00 pm up to 2:00pm.
- A total of 31 veterans and their families were screened at the memory screening camp.
