Republic Day get together at Mr.Bawa's Residence
- On Saturday, the 24th of January 2015, ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan organised a Republic Day get together with their patients and caregivers at Mr. Vasanth Bawa, ARDSI member's, residence. Mister and Mrs Bawa very hospitably opened their beautiful large pent house at Banjara Hills for the ARDSI Hyd Deccan group. Further, they invited a special church choir group who entertained the group with their unique Hyderabadi Urdu hymns. Volunteers from Villa Marie Degree College performed a dance to a medley of old and new Bollywood favourites which had the audience asking for an encore.
- This was followed by an elaborate potluck lunch put together by all the caregivers that included delicacies from different corners of India, symbolising the true spirit of national integration. Dishes such as Bengali egg curry and parathas, Andhra potato curry, tamarind rice and curd rice, Hyderabadi veg and non-veg biryani and ladoos filled the plates of all guests.
- The get-together ended in true ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan style with the singing of the national anthem. The kind graciousness of Mr and Mrs Bawa went a long way in making the occasion a very special one for all those present. ARDSI Hydearabd Deccan would like to extend their sincere gratitude towards the couple for the same.
