Training for psychology students
Internship training in dementia care- ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan provides training on 30th August 2013 at ARDSI Activity Center in dementia care to interns throughout the year. The interns are typically students who have either completed or doing their Bachelor's degree in Psychology and their training constitutes:
- Understanding the symptoms of dementia and about the various kinds of dementia.
- Conducting a range of cognitive assessments.
- Understanding the process of the diagnosis of dementia
- Working with different dementia patients at the activity centre
Some interesting projects that interns have taken up and completed successfully as part of the activity centre in the past have been building of memory boxes for patients, organizing a Christmas party and participating in memory camps.
